The Nebo Loop area provides excellent opportunities for mountain biking. The paved road itself is a popular and challenging ride - challenging because it stretches for 38 miles and reaches elevations above 9,000 feet. Spur roads are also popular with bikers.
Trails off the Nebo Loop provide premium rides. Most of the trails are open to biking, but a few are not. Pick up a guide as you begin the drive to identify the open trails, and to get more info on them.
The Pony Express Trail through the West Desert is also a popular bike route, especially for youth groups. Boy Scouts and other groups mount their trusty steeds, bikes in this case, and tear out across the desert, retracing the route that is now famous in Western Folklore.
Numerous other backcountry roads and trails provide biking opportunities. Check with area businesses and residents for more information.
