Big game hunting is very popular in forested mountain areas of Juab County. Mule deer and elk inhabit these areas and hunter success is usually good.
Deer can also be found on our juniper-covered hillsides, even in desert areas that look desolate.
Upland game, include pheasants, quail, cottontail rabbits and grouse are, also commonly found in this area and provide good hunting opportunities.
Waterfowl are prevalent wherever there is water - particularly around the Fish Springs marshes and local reservoirs and ponds. The Sevier River below Yuba attracts a surprising number of ducks and geese.
Varmint hunting is also popular here. Coyotes and a number of other critters are commonly hunted.
